Award for Stamp Design
I was delighted to receive the “Best Stamp Design Award” following the votes received in “The 2016 China Annual Best Foreign Stamp Poll” for the below stamp designs.
I was asked by the Isle of Man Post Office to design a set of 6 stamps commemorating the 175th Anniversary of the Penny Black Stamp. In liaison with the Post Office and Stanley Gibbons I tried to incorporate the needs of both companies into the designs. The first 3 showcased the first 3 stamps to ever exist, and the second 3 featured significant people. The stamp designs received a lot of press coverage.
Magna Carta Album produced for HM The Queen
Working with the Magna Carta Committee I was tasked to produce a special album. The album was to be presented the The Queen to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta. As a special edition it needed to feature a selection of appropriate Magna Carta collectables.
To make the project cost effective I produced a limited edition of 10 albums, the first presented to The Queen and the rest sold as premium exclusive albums. I sourced the album, designed the blocking and selected the album contents (stamps, coins and covers). I also designed and printed information sheets to go alongside the contents. The final album built into a complete Magna Carta collectables reference book.
Stanley Gibbons Shop Refurbishment
The shop needed to become more sales orientated so, without compromising the brand, a few design proposals were created.
Stamp Centre Shop Refurbishment
Following on from the merging of two brands the shop needed complete reinvention. This involved a new floor layout, new shop fittings, stock organisation and new signage.
